The Ardersier to Fort George road was shut after historic Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) was found on the shoreline. A Royal Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was due to attend the scene, located near an Army barracks.
UXO is regularly washed up along the shores of the Moray coast, which has a long military history and was extensively used for live firing practice during World War Two (WWII).
