Wartime Shell Found in Enniskillen

A suspected wartime shell was found on a building site near a station in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh.

The discovery led to the evacuation of local homes and a park as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was mobilised. The EOD team confirmed that the device was inert and removed it before the cordon was lifted.

The origin of the shell is unclear, although it may have been a discarded souvenir.
