Woman Fortunate to Find that Grenade She Kicked and Took Home was Inert

A woman who kicked a rusted grenade out of the ground on Bramshott Common and took it home was relieved to find out that it was inert. Assuming the device could not be live as it didn’t have a pin on it, she was alerted to potential danger by friends on social media.

An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was called to the scene and evacuated the woman’s house, in addition to surrounding properties. Fortunately, it proved that the grenade was not live and it was removed for safe disposal.
