World War One Shell Found in Oxfordshire Village

An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was called to the village of Towersey near Thame in Oxfordshire after the unearthing of a suspected World War One (WWI) shell.

The provenance of the shell is not known, although it was safely removed without the requirement for a controlled explosion.
