Botley Road in Oxford was closed after the discovery of WWII-era ordnance near Osney Bridge. The nature of the device and its origin are unclear, although it may have been fished from the river.
An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team attended the scene and removed the device to a nearby field for a controlled explosion.
