WWII Mortar discovered at property in Arundel

A WWII mortar was discovered in an outhouse at a property in Arundel, Hampshire.

A Royal Naval Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team were called who removed and detonated the mortar.  It is believed that the mortar had been brought home by a previous owner of the property, who had served in WWII.

This is probably one of the most commonly found ordnance types for the UK, although normally found in areas where military activity has taken place!
