WWII Ordnance Found in Chiswick Garden

Residents were evacuated from their homes in Chiswick after World War Two ordnance was found in a back garden.  Police put in place a security cordon before an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team could arrive to assess the device (exact type unknown).

The EOD team later carried out a controlled explosion nearby and the cordon was lifted.
