WWII Shell Found at Gravesend Nursery

The remains of a suspected WWII shell were found at a nursery school in Gravesend, Kent, prompting the evacuation of staff and pupils.  An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team declared the four-and-a-half inch item safe on assessment and removed it without fuss.

The exact type and origin of the shell remains unknown.
