An unexploded artillery shell was found by a member of the public in Glen Parva, Leicester. Possibly discovered in a local canal, the device prompted the mobilisation of an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team.

The EOD team assessed the shell and determined that it was safe to move to a nearby field where it was destroyed in a controlled explosion.
