Another Ordnance-Related Find at HMS Sultan in Gosport

Reports indicate that Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) has been found at HMS Sultan, a Royal Navy shore training establishment, resulting in road closures.

It is the second such incident in less than a month, after two WWII-era shells were found in late September.  On that occasion, the shells were confirmed to be empty and were removed from the scene.

An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team will carry out an assessment on the latest find and decide on the best course of action.
