Bomb Disposal Called out to UXO Finds in Herne Hill Garden

A controlled explosion was carried out after 2No. unexploded shells were found in a back garden in Herne Hill, London.

Builders carrying out works at the site came across the 2No. devices, prompting an evacuation of nearby properties by Police. An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team attended site and assessed that one of the devices needed to be made safe in a controlled explosion. This was carried out at a local golf course.
