A controlled explosion was undertaken on Newborough Beach in Anglesey after a member of the public found a suspected unexploded mortar shell.
The Coastguard secured the area prior to the attendance of an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team, which destroyed the shell on a quite stretch of beach.
