An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team carried out a controlled explosion after Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) was found in a field in Suffolk.
The item, type unknown, was discovered at Red Lodge near to Royal Air Force (RAF) Mildenhall airfield. A major Bomber Command airfield during World War Two (WWII), RAF Mildenhall is now predominantly used as a refuelling base by the United States Air Force (USAF).
