Suspected Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) found on the beach at Harwich, Essex has been destroyed in a controlled explosion.
The item was found washed up by a member of the public, who informed the public. An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was subsequently mobilised to render the item safe.
