Controlled Explosion for WWII Device Found in Ealing

A controlled explosion was carried out after suspected World War Two (WWII) Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) was unearthed at a construction site in Ealing.

The item – exact type unspecified – was found during works on a site at Hanger Hill near the A406 North Circular.  Police put in place road closures whilst an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was mobilised to render the item safe.
