Suspected unexploded ordnance (UXO) was found on Studland Heath, near Purbeck in Dorset. An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was called-in to deal with the device, the exact nature of which is unknown.
The area was extensively used for military training prior to D-Day and UXO finds are not uncommon.
