Further UXO Found at Former Shrewsbury Barracks Site

Military Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) personnel were called out for a fourth time to a housing development in Shrewsbury after the discovery of Unexploded Ordnance (UXO).

The site of the former Copthorne Barracks has drawn attention recently through the discovery of suspected unexploded mortars, which have led to EOD attendance.

A 100m security cordon was put in place prior to the attendance of the EOD team, with a controlled explosion anticipated.
