Hand Grenade Found During Bradford House Clearance

An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was called out to a property in Baildon, Bradford, after family members found a hand grenade belonging to their late uncle during a house clearance.

The man had served in the RAF during WWII and the grenade was a suspected souvenir from the conflict, in addition to a rifle discovered at the property.

After Police were called and put in place a security cordon, an EOD team attended the scene and removed the items.  It serves as a reminder that souvenir ordnance remains one of the biggest causes of EOD call-outs in the UK each year.
