Incendiary Bomb Found in Aylesbury Park

A suspected Incendiary Bomb (IB) discovery prompted the closure of Bedgrove Park in Aylesbury. Police put a safety cordon in place prior to the attendance of an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team.

1kg and 2kg IBs were dropped in huge numbers during World War Two. They were designed to spread fires and light up target areas for aircraft dropping more destructive High Explosive (HE) bombs.
