A member of the public found an unexploded mortar on the beach at Walcott in North Norfolk. Police put in place a 100m security cordon, which included the evacuation of several properties.
An Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was mobilised to assess the device, which was later destroyed in a controlled explosion.
