Pigs Dig up Mortar on Norfolk Farm

A WWII-era mortar dug up by pigs on a Norfolk farm was destroyed in a controlled explosion.  A farmer in Roughton, near Cromer, found the device when carrying out some works, with the indication that his pigs had rooted the device up.

After Police put in place a security cordon, an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was mobilised.  The EOD team undertook a controlled explosion of the mortar to make it safe.
