A toll bridge in Nottinghamshire was closed after a suspected artillery shell was fished out of the River Trent. Police put in place a 50m security cordon and closed road and tram routes around the Wilford bridge, whilst an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team was mobilised.
The EOD team was able to remove the shell for safe disposal.
