Cleveland Police were called on Monday 04/01/2024 to the discovery of a ‘suspected explosive device’ on a beach in Redcar, near to the Stray Café.
A police cordon was established and an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team called to assess the device. Its exact nature remains unconfirmed.
