‘Unexploded Bomb’ Found in County Durham

The Durham Constabulary were called on Wednesday 31/01/2024 to attend the discovery of a reported Unexploded Bomb (UXB) on land behind the Church Mouse pub in Chester-le-Street, County Durham.  The device was destroyed in a controlled explosion by an Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team, but its exact nature remains unconfirmed.
