Unexploded WWII Mortar Found in Co. Armagh Village

On  the evening of Sunday 21/01/2024, the Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) responded to reports of a suspicious device found in the Woodlawn Heights area of Richhill, County Armagh. Examination by an Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team on 22/01/2024 confirmed identification of the device as an unexploded WWII mortar round.  The ordnance was destroyed in a controlled explosion.
