UPDATE: 500kg UXB found in Plymouth rendered safe in a controlled detonation

Royal Navy divers have successfully made safe the 500kg UXB that was found in Plymouth earlier this week.

The UXB was transported through evacuated streets to the Torpoint Ferry slipway where it was transferred to a boat and towed out to sea.

RN Divers then took the UXB to a reported depth of at least 14 metres where it could be detonated in a controlled explosion.
