A controlled explosion was carried out after a World War Two (WWII)-era artillery shell was found in Norfolk.
The Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) was found by a woman walking the beach at the eastern end of Scolt Head Island – an offshore barrier island between Brancaster and Wells. An Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team attended the scene and rendered the device safe.
