A Detailed Risk Assessment is always recommended if:

Your site is located in a heavily bombed area.
Your site is located on an active or historic military establishment (e.g. airfield, army barracks, munitions factory etc.)
Your site has a known history of military activity.
Discoveries of Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) have been made on your site.

A PDSA for such sites will only confirm the requirement for a detailed assessment.
